My work is based on what I notice in the natural environment from day to day, it might be a tree, plant, overgrown border, the sky through leaves or sun on a pond. I am a self-taught artist and have exhibited in Leeds and surrounding areas.

The British landscape, and especially the Northern landscape inspires me on different levels. How the Seasons affect mood and sensory input, how brightness and abundance live alongside gloom and melancholy, how little corners and 'ordinary' places in nature can be revelatory.

I work with acrylic paint and pen, and sometimes charcoal.
