I am an emerging visual artist exploring human experience and connection. Based on the edge of the New Forest, I use this inspirational environment in much of my work. Using narrative, language and visual impact to explore themes such as motherhood, our connection to nature, the body and spirituality, I often draw upon lived experience and work mainly within sculpture, photography and collage.

Lisa Riot is an emerging British visual artist who works across various mediums, predominantly photography, sculpture and collage. Her work explores humanity through interconnectedness, the body and the psyche, often implying an esoteric narrative. Capturing the mainly female experience, Riots Art investigates notions of identity, societal views of the past and present of the female role within the family, and our connection with nature and place. The main body of her work represents her lived experiences. She relates this to an amalgamation of emotion, opinion and therapy. Often escaping into otherworldliness, Riot likes to dip her toe into Jungian Analysis, spirituality, esoteric practices and fairytales. Her work uses a palette of materials such as found natural objects, text and textiles which reflect her lineage of seamstresses and child mill workers in the cotton mills of Lancashire. Previously an architect and designer, Riot gained a Master of Fine Arts from Winchester School of Art in 2020. She works from her rural Dorset studio on the edge of Cranbourne Chase and the New Forest, which are heavily featured in her work.
