Multidisciplinary Artist - Digital Collage, Graphic Design, Installation, Sculpture and Mural. Themes - Disability Activism, Sensory Escapism, Celestial and Cosmic imagery.
My artistic practice is deeply rooted in themes of inclusivity, gentle disability activism, and sensory escapism. I create cosmic collages, inclusive workshops, and sensory installations that transport audiences to celestial realms and provide therapeutic solace. As a disabled and neurodivergent artist, my work reflects my lived experience and a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices. My notable achievements include securing DYCP Arts Council England funding, leading to a solo exhibition at the Vestibules in Bristol, and showcasing my multimedia installation work at the Be[loved] exhibition hosted by Arnolfini in collaboration with Rising Arts Agency.
I have also founded Bone Idle, an online collective and community for disabled, neurodiverse, and chronically ill creatives, which fosters collaboration and mutual support. My approach blends artistic expression with social change, empowering diverse abilities and backgrounds. Through my roles as an Access and Inclusion Facilitator and a Visual Storyteller, I have collaborated with numerous organisations to create more inclusive events, artworks, and spaces.
Additionally, my practice incorporates a strong element of community engagement. I regularly conduct workshops and projects that involve local communities, especially marginalised groups, in the creative process. This not only makes art more accessible but also enriches my work with diverse perspectives and experiences. For instance, my recent project at Knowle West Media Centre involved co-designing a garden lab with community members, integrating artistic practices with environmental sustainability and accessibility.
