Lo graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2009 with a Ba(Hons) in Fine Art. She has since been writing, drawing and working in Leeds with her cat and number one fan, Moo. She works as an independent Illustrator and is one half of the creative duo, Lo & Vee. Together they run a regular art class and have had success with their large, detailed, painted murals.

Finding inspiration in the flora and fauna encountered on various wanderings, I create detailed drawings and creations with an element of fun and imagination. I work predominantly in pen and ink, sporadically experimenting with colour.

Working from memory in most pieces helps me to inject some soul and emotion into my drawings. The finished piece often conveys more of my feelings about the encounter, not a true to life depiction. I find that my mind animates the picture, twisting shapes into patterns and finding motifs in texture, bringing unreality to everyday life.

I mostly make illustrations which I sell as originals, prints, cards and designs for stationary and accessories. I have also recently begun making lino prints.

I also collaborate with my creative partner, Vee. We began working together on this joint venture in May 2015 to form Lo & Vee. We run art workshops aimed at local communities and families as well as creating large scale artworks and exhibitions.

We believe that art is for everyone. We also believe that art can bring people together, strengthen existing relationships and increase confidence. Our classes are designed to break down the fear for anyone who says ‘I can’t draw!’ or ‘I don’t know how to paint!’ by throwing out the rule book and showing everyone how by using everyday objects we can make original, exciting and imaginative art works.

Lo and Vee have completed an artists residency with Leeds Central Library and are now available to hire for commissions. They have collaborated with Local and upcoming business', such as House of Koko in Chapel Allerton, Leeds
