Abigail Stevens Suffolk, United Kingdom
I'm Abi, an illustrator of bold, colourful and enigmatic digital illustrations. Much of my creative practice focuses on representing and empowering other people in my disabled, queer, and neurodivergent communities. I am available for commisisons in editorial, publishing, and product design, with a particular interest in working with relevant charities.
My artwork is bold, colourful and enigmatic. I adore stylised historical art and architecture like illuminated manuscripts, stained glass, decorative carvings, and bestiaries, so my work combines traditional influences with modern and bright digital practice. Much of my personal and professional focuses on representing and empowering others in marginalised communities, in particular my fellow chronically ill, neurodivergent and/or queer folks. My products are often simple, bold and emblematic, featuring key phases and message. In illustration work I am driven by curiosity and enjoy working on a variety of topics, including social and cultural issues, the environment, mythology, history, and speculative fiction.
