    Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Sarah Dixon is a socially-engaged conceptual artist using a broad range of media to create participatory works. She has a particular interest in invisible rituals - how we use them in institutional and everyday settings, and how we can playfully reconstruct them to serve us. She is a founder member with Sharon Bennett of The Women's Art Activation System (WAAS)

    I was born in London in 1953. Studied Fine Art (painting) at Sheffield School of Art and Design graduating with an Honours degree in Fine Art in 1975 I have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and Iceland. I have been a photographer for over forty years qualifying as an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society.

    Currently, I am primarily interested in exploring human/nature discourses through a narrative practice that engages with objects (natural and human-made), representation, and employing a range of processes and means of making.     I studied fine art (Painting) at Wimbledon School of Art 1970-73 and have continued to make and exhibit work since then. Since finishing college, I have worked continuously in art organisations as a curator and Director and also as an arts lecturer in higher education.

    Working with salvaged ecclesiastical glass, I use historical fragments to construct new paradigms of image‑making. Informed by early Renaissance craft, my practice reconfigures light, fracture and inherited forms for contemporary meaning.

    I am a visual artist, animator and educator based in Liverpool, North West England. Incorporating textiles with natural and industrial materials, I explore themes of literature and language, folklore, superstitions as well as exploring histories both hetero-normative and queer.

    I'm a 53 year old Artist from Yorkshire, i Love to paint what is in my head. I do occasionally like to paint a portrait, usually a personality from a band.
