    I’m Elizabeth Benson, a UK-based artist working between textile and sculpture. I explore how cloth, dye and fibre respond to contact, pressure and time, using natural dyes, tannins and iron to create layered works where colour and form emerge through interaction rather than control.

    Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    Every artwork is an invitation to pause. I don’t create paintings simply to be looked at. I create spaces to be entered.     I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience.     Sunderland is a painter and drawer living and working in Plymouth, England. His work is constantly referencing the changes in time, light and shadow, and where man-made or natural forms co-exist in the environment.     Having worked with photography and cinema production, as well as different media and areas of painting, from porcelain to textiles, for over 20 years my art has been expressed in painting silks and photographing instants in the development of the painting process. My painted silks are the object of compositions and landscapes.
