    I am an abstract artist, producing photography and mixed media miniature scenes . After graduating in art photography, I worked in a fine art studio and in between, exhibited at V&A, Stills Gallery, Mall gallery London and in New York, Paris and Vienna. Concentrating now on just my personal work, exploring the spaces where light, texture, and imagination meet.

    My name is Gemma Yates and I'm a painter from the UK. I love to paint natural forms such as flowers, trees, figures and thriving landscapes.     I am a bookbinder and work from my garden studio in Leeds. I love making notebooks using traditional bookbinding methods. Each one is unique and made with good quality cartridge paper and sewn together with linen thread. I have recently started making my own designs for the covers using watercolours, wooden block prints. I also make cyanotype prints using pressed leaves and flowers.

    Sue is a contemporary yorkshire based artist gaining a Diploma in Fine Art, Jacob Kramer, 1993. BA Honours Degree in Art and Design at Bradford College In 1997. Exhibitions since; most notables The Royal Academy Summer Show 2024, Royal Cambrian 2023. Primarily Sue uses oil paint, to draw out intangible moments from specific memories. Layers of impasto being a striking feature of her work.
