    I am a photographer and a qualified teacher. I tutor workshops in basic digital photography and cyanotype printing. My main practice is in documentary photography. I also have a passion for Camera Obscura and have designed and built my own portable CO. Inspired by largescale artworks I also have a passion for light paintings and abstractions made at night.

    As a self-proclaimed modern surrealist, I create oil paintings that explore and analyse the elusive mental reality. I visualise my nuanced feelings to declutter and to further understand my own mind and what I am experiencing. Pain, dread, and anxiety are the most prominent in my most recent work. The female nude is a vessel for tortured emotions.

    Before re-emerging as a photography artist my background was in furniture painting, fashion, and family shoots. I am self taught and have no formal education in art. I am inspired by the beautiful West Sussex countryside where I live, and my fascination for trees and architecture. I am a mother to two teenagers, living a quiet life with my rescue lurcher and a dark sense of humour!

    I am an artist/maker based in a small village on the West coast of Wales. I have been practicing for over 30 years. I work from a small studio at the back of my house. My surroundings are a constant source of inspiration to me; the colours of the expansive skies, the flocks of corvidae wheeling around and the flowers in the hedgerows. I work mostly with textiles.
