    I am a visual artist based in Hastings and have exhibited, participated in and produced work for artists led projects, residencies and commissions in the UK and Europe. I work with a wide range of materials including installation, sculpture, film and photography and my practice is focused on an exploration of the relationship between our senses, architecture and space.

    For the last few years, I have tried to paint in a way that no other artist paints. I do not see the point of painting in a similar way to other artists. For THE NATURE OF THINGS series, I have found a new way of applying paint to figurative paintings. In the MEMORY AND DESIRE series I paint initially conventionally, but then cover the picture with a monochrome colour.

    I am a colourist painter, working from my garden studio in Somerset. My work is about landscape including trees, castle ruins, reflections, and seascapes. The emphasis is on colour, light and composition using layers of paint, resulting in a rich tapestry of hue and texture.

    Inspired by her home county of Yorkshire, Katrina works in a wild and free manner such as the laws of nature demand. The motive behind these stimulating paintings is the exploration of beauty in our surroundings. Taking patterns and colours from flowers, water, earth and sky and using them as stand alone designs or to decorate a variety of creatures, transforming them into hypnotic beings.

    I studied fine art (Painting) at Wimbledon School of Art 1970-73 and have continued to make and exhibit work regionally, nationally and internationally.     I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience. Often working en plein air I create dynamic & colourful compositions. I'm inspired by abstract expressionism with rapid expressive mark making & striking colours of Fauvism. I have a strong exhibition catalogue over 20 shows in 2025.

    Jo creates abstract sea/colour-scapes focusing on horizons, using gold, silver, copper metal-leaf, oil-paint, playing with rust and verdigris on plaster and wooden panels.     Lauren Dawson is a multidisciplinary visual artist from Northern Ireland, with an environmental focus. Lauren graduated with a BA Hons in Fine and Applied Art from the University of Ulster Belfast in 2008, and a Masters in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies in 2010, specialising in art curating.
