    The first time I touched clay, it was a peaceful and comforting experience. There is nothing more grounding than working by hand with raw materials and watching as it slowly transforms into a piece of work. This started by accident. As someone who has ADHD, it’s incredibly difficult to be still, and I feel the need to constantly be doing something with my hands.

    As a child I loved to draw and paint, and as an adult would loved to have had the time to follow it up. However, work and family kept me busy. When I retired I promised myself I would join an art class and take it seriously. Though I don't hold a degree, I am still being very well taught, by excellent professional teachers .,so you are never too old to learn about something you love doing.

    Embroiderer and wordsmith, Catherine Hill is a multi-award-winning contemporary textile artist based in the UK. Her artistic vision is drawn from her childhood memories growing up in the English county of Lancashire in the 1970’s.     Arabella Ross is an artist whose vibrant paintings and collages blend colour, emotion, and storytelling.  Inspired by nature and guided by instinct, her work is spontaneous and expressive.  Beneath bold colours, Ross explores deeper emotional themes of grief, loss, and transformation.     I am a fine art photographer with a love for photography since getting my first camera as a teenager. Initially working as a landscape architect for 40 years till 2015 I decided to change direction to pursue my passion for b+w fine-art landscape photography using both 35mm and medium formats.     I am currently a MA student studying Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Previously, I studied Ceramics and craft Art at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in China. My work spans sculpture, installation, painting, and illustration. My creative themes mostly revolve around existentialism, the unnoticed cracks in everyday life, and the subtle emotions evoked in humans.

    Katy works with Merino wool, using felting and embroidery to create landscape stories. Changing skies, seasons and rural scenes inspire her beautiful pictures. She is currently making wearable accessories and clothing using the same techniques. Katy has exhibited her work for some years and can be found at local artisan fairs and shops. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.

    I'm based in Leeds and currently painting is at the forefront of my practice. The paintings are about the people I know and landscapes that are painted from memories of special places. I attempt to exhibit the work regularly, and curate solo and group shows at 'Gallery 16', a venue in my house. I have also created many sculptures, mosaics and murals for the public realm.
