Ally Pulleyn North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
With a background in Mental Health and Education I am only now able to concentrate full time on my artistic practice, that was once just a pastime to aide relaxation. I am studying for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and have recently exhibited and sold my work as a ‘One to Watch!’ (2022) talented and emerging Yorkshire artist.
My current practice centres around the use of Emotive Narratives with fine art photography as the vehicle. I have experimented using various receptor mediums to show my images, these include clay, fabric and discarded materials. As a photographic fine artist much of my time is spent capturing the right image that I believe will translate well and will spark an emotive response to the viewer. Currently AUTOIMMUNE is taking shape in the form of alabaster sculptures that imbue the observer to enter my world of living with a life long condition. It’s a hands on approach that is depicted in photographic images and stand alone sculptures that help share a world of disability yet hope.
