I am a jeweller and silversmith working with recycled sterling silver and gold. My work is underpinned by sustainable practice- I recycle all of my silver scrap and use recycled and recyclable packaging

My work is inspired by my local environment which has been heavily shaped by quarrying past and present. Disused quarry sites reclaimed by nature, derelict rusting machinery and the shapes of of long gone broken equipment fascinate me. I am surrounded by historical quarried sites blasted out of black gritstone, which is reflected by much of my work using vitreous enamel, oxidised black sterling silver and precious and semi precious gemstones. I aim to also make functional items such as spoons, using traditional techniques. No two pieces of my work are alike, being hand fabricated.
