Inga Winson United Kingdom
Experimental ceramic / mixed media sculpture inspired by natural forms.
I love creating tactile, sculptural forms – embracing the beautiful imperfections created when making by hand.
I’ve collected seed pods, pebbles and other treasures since I was a child – the organic textures and sensual forms inspire me.
Barnacles, indents carved out by the rhythm of the sea, smooth, weathered surfaces, broken edges, unfurling ferns, faceted seed pods - it's all so gorgeous!
Each of my pieces is unique – sometimes hand built, sometimes thrown and altered.
I enjoy creating unusual surfaces and textures by combining textured clays, slips, organic materials, metal and paper.
