I am predominantly a painter focussing on landscape. I produce representational and abstract work. I work both en plein air and in my studio, from sketches and from my own photography.

I work with different mediums, mainly oil. I like to work on canvas and paper. I like to investigate he dynamics of what is in front of me – the shapes, the light, the negative spaces - and then manipulate them, whether it is through form or colour, focussing on the energy of my subject, rather than a visual truth.
