Layla Jabbari is a Hull-based illustrator working in print and mixed media, including animation and sculpture. Layla's work was shortlisted for the Flourish Awards for excellence in Printmaking and selected for Ones to Watch, Yorkshire 2024. Layla was longlisted for World Illustration Awards 2023 and is on the Artist Inter_change program at Humber Street Gallery Hull.

Layla employs a fusion of drawing, printmaking, and collage in her mixed media illustrations and animations to construct interconnected narratives that accentuate the enchantment inherent in ordinary lives. Delving into the stories of people she meets; Layla's work is purposefully designed to evoke smiles. Her work explores the concept that within the routine aspects of life, there exists an opportunity to celebrate the profound wonder embedded in our collective existence.
