I am a Book Artist and Weaver, based in Sheffield.
The books I make start on the shorelines around the UK, I collect glass from the beaches, then fuse it into clay, this creates the front covers for the books. The back covers are made by spinning fibres, then weaving them to form the back boards. I stitch the pages using coptic binding, a wonderfully versatile stitch, dating back to the 4th century.
