Rachel Collier-Wilson Norfolk, United Kingdom
Rachel (they/them) is a prolific, intuitive artist who has been practicing since graduating in1990 from Central Saint Martins School of Art, London. They follow where their creativity takes them on the day; using sketching, linocut, mono printing, sewing and painting. Having grown up in the Peak District, Rachel has lived in London, Boston and New Zealand and is now loving Norwich.
Rachel creates an emotional response to their surroundings, particularly in nature, highlighting the richness of our natural environment and adding a suggestive narrative. Having always drawn, Rachel is an avid life drawer, sometimes brings in images of the female form into their work. Rachel also continues with their printmaking practice, exploring different ways to portray her sketchy line with linocuts and monoprints.
Rachel is always happy to discuss suggestions for further work and enjoys taking commissions.
