I am a figurative artist that draws from life and uses mixed media to create my pieces. My main subject is predominantly the figure where I seek to convey the human condition in mood and pose rather than a true likeness of the sitter.
Drawing from life is the most important element to my practise as it is within the drawing that I find what I want to communicate and why that inspiration to draw came in the first place. The slow gaze and attention I've given whilst drawing truly opens up a whole world.
