A disabled artist having to experiment using my non dominant hand, I love to capture a feeling or beauty within my art. Charcoal was the very first thing I picked up and I'm venturing from this trying to recycle my "canvas'" and drawing on anything I can find and reuse. I believe my art maintains a stylised appearance on account of the deliberation and consideration having to be factored in.
I've attained great results using Pointalism, and only learned that was a technique I was employing, speaking to someone viewing my piece at a fair. Latterly I've explored working on recycled tiles I source from peoples renovations or ex stock. This has afforded my style a lot of freedom and the marking becomes more fluid.
I never know how to approach a drawing until I'm sat affront a canvas and it reveals itself.
I can be slow in working so often sit with a muse complete an initial sketch I then add to with the use of photography.
