A professional oil painter who works out of his studio in Cheshire. Whilst Landscapes and Cityscapes remain prominent in his work, he turns to whatever subject matter draws his attention, including embracing the freedom and limitless potential that abstraction offers. He has now created a diverse and dynamic portfolio including portraits and contemporary work
Painting is normal oil on canvas, and early works drew largely on the Impressionists and Scottish Colourists, notably Peploe; and later the pioneering abstract visionaries of Mondrian and Kandinski. Later work includes portraits, and several series including "Windy Beaches", Cityscapes and Markets. Gallery representation is via GooseGreenGallery in Altrincham.
