  Back to profiles

Born in Southern Ireland, in 1975. Now based in the North West of England. Studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston. I continue to explore natural & urban environments, combining both contemporary & traditional forms of media.

My work is primarily inspired by natural forms and found materials usually discovered while out walking or sometimes quite accidentally during the course of the day; I enjoy exploring the ;'unseen or often overlooked' with a very experimental approach using the immediacy of digital photography with a variety of mediums, such as ink or incorporating elements of printmaking processes & then with the use of Photoshop these explorations are combined into photocollages that can sometimes result in removing the drawing, photograph or object from its original state. I work intuitively so I try to avoid having a finished outcome in mind; preferring to let the medium develop & dictate what happens. Despite my practice being rooted in the two dimensional I am fascinated by the works of Cornelia Parker, Tony Cragg, Eva Hesse & Sachiko Abe
