I am a Brazilian multimedia artist. My Light Painting Photographs are created exclusively with long exposures, without Photoshop, using stencils and light props that I build myself.
The idea is to create the whole image in-camera in one single long exposure. I build handmade light props using a variety of LED lights and torches, including fairy lights, children’s toys, mobile screens, or anything that has lights in it. I also use modifiers on top of the lights, like fibre-optic cables, plexiglass, recycled plastic items (bottles, spoons, cups, etc), and resin props that I cast. I am always testing different materials to see how they interact with light. The process involves a lot of trial and error and usually takes many hours to complete. It is also very challenging because it is done in the dark and the results are completely unexpected.

I have been featured on the BBC, TimeOut London, Londonist, DIY Photography, and participated in exhibitions in London, Edinburgh, Arles, Prague and Sao Paulo. Also, I run workshops and organize exhibitions to empower people to rekindle their creative side and highlight the importance of art in mental health.
