I have entered an incredible creative phase in my life to further develop my long-held artistic vision. Influenced by Italian Futurists, I have directed my work to reflect my love of modernity by exploring the fluid boundaries between the organic and the artificial.
With a 40-year career that has swung from art publishing, graphic design and the world of art, I have returned to my first passion—painting—with renewed vigour and a profound perspective shaped by decades of visual exploration. As a self-taught artist, I have woven my extensive experience in graphic design with an innate skill for capturing the vivid interplay between nature and the constructed environment.
Influenced heavily by the Italian Futurist movement, my work is a testament to the power of movement and the symbiosis of time and space in art. The kinetic energy of the Futurists, coupled with my fascination for modernity, echoes through my pieces, which often explore the fluid boundaries between the organic and the artificial. This unique aesthetic tension not only bridges the gap between two contrasting worlds but also I hope imbues my work with a contemporary relevance that resonates with diverse audiences.
I try to bring to my canvases not just colours and forms, but a storied history of professional achievements and personal challenges. Each work is a distillation of experiences gathered over four decades, offering viewers a chance to perceive the world through a lens that appreciates both its grandeur and darkness. Through my art, I invite you to reflect on the beauty of our surroundings, encouraging a dialogue between the viewer and the world they portray.
