Lorna Rose Devon, United Kingdom
Lorna Rose is an artist printmaker and curator. Working with print and collage, Lorna’s practice is concerned with space and how we inhabit, move within, and speak into it. She uses her creativity as a catalyst for conversations about the nuances of the Black experience, visibility and joy.
Underpinned by deep listening and conversation, Lorna's practice takes scenes from the everyday and invites the viewer to create new ways of seeing, or revisit familiar perspectives, through a different lens. Working playfully with printmaking (predominantly screenprint), collage and text, Lorna creates layered images to question common narratives
Lorna's practice is informed by her role as curator and producer with 'talking on corners', an experimental visual art curating / producing practice underpinned by critical thinking. Her work incorporates arts research alongside designing and developing projects which elevate Black and Brown voices in the art field.
