Marion is a passionate heart led artist whose zeal for life, friendship and adventure shine out of her artwork, which celebrates and explores the beauty of our landscapes. Richness and depth of colour are achieved through a multi-layered, mixed media approach. Marks are created with freedom and love, ensuring the artwork encapsulates the true essence of ‘being in the landscape’.

The art Marion creates celebrates and explores the beauty of our landscapes: a tree is so much more than a tree and a valley more than grass & rock. Colour plays a vital role in her work and the richness of depth is achieved through using a multi-layered, mixed media approach. Often 10+ layers are applied before a piece is completed. Marks are created through a range of materials including collage, paints, inks and gouache crayon; Marion works with freedom and passion ensuring the artwork has vibrancy and a tactile quality. She has been creating for many years and loves to be outside in nature walking or cycling. through photography and sketching she records part of a landscape that she finds exciting or inspiring. Once back in her studio she uses these resources as a foundation for her paintings. Marion explains that painting feels like part of her DNA - something she cannot live without.

Collectors resonate with these passionate, joy-filled paintings and to whatever degree of abstraction used to create the piece they explain ‘it is obviously work by Marion as it celebrates life, love and adventure’.
