I am a silversmith based in Nottingham, UK. At the heart of my practice is sustainability. I am committed to using recycled silver and fair mined gold. My pieces tend to be organic in nature, asymetrical and made for every-day wear.

I create contemporary jewellery using traditional silversmithing techniques. Strong eco-conscious values define the business. All jewellery is handmade using recycled silver, ethically sourced gemstones and, for my main collection, vintage lace. This collection, which celebrates Nottingham’s heritage, includes earrings, heavy pendants and bangles. By imprinting the lace onto the surface of the silver, I achieve a delicate surface texture. The silver is then gently coaxed into fluid, organic shapes which reflect the movement of heavy lace. I have always been intrigued by the making process that requires power and heat and can transform a staid, solid piece of metal into a graceful and elegant piece of jewellery.

My most recent collection makes use of silver metal clay to achieve organic forms inspired by winged seedpods. I achieve a delicate papery effect on fine silver, reminiscent of nature’s own fragile, yet powerful, casings.

Packaging is carefully selected to ensure minimal impact on the environment and I endeavour to ensure that wrapping is sustainably sourced, recycled, and, wherever possible, biodegradable.
