Ngo Chun Tse is an artist based between London and Hong Kong. His practice is working in the intersection of moving image, text, installation, and lecture performance, critically engaging with the historiography of decolonisation, the production of technological and cinematic images, and the hauntology of diasporic experience.

Ngo Chun Tse is an artist based between London and Hong Kong. His practice spans moving image, text, installation, and lecture performance, critically engaging with the historiography of decolonisation, the production of technological and cinematic images, and the hauntology of diasporic experience. He is a resident at Metroland Studios as part of Metroland Culture’s Peer- to-Peer 2024 cohort.

He has presented work at institutions including Videotage (Hong Kong); FLAMIN (UK); g39 (UK); Outpost Gallery (UK); LUX (UK), Metroland Cultures (UK) and Universidade Católica Portuguese (Portugal). He has graduated with MFA Fine Art Media from Slade School of Fine Art and BA (Hons) Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts.

Besides his art practice, Ngo Chun also worked as a curator and researcher. He held curatorial positions at Brighton Photo Fringe, Eaton HK and M+ Museum. He has co-curated a series of exhibitions by emerging artists living in Hong Kong, UK and internationally. He also worked for Smoking Dogs Films, to supported the film commissions by John Akomfrah, including Arcadia (2023) and Listening All Night to the Rain (2024).
