Left Bank Leeds is pleased to announce a call for submissions for our first exhibition in 2025! We are inviting you to share your vision of the future— maybe you will re-imagine our world, your local neighbourhood or your own life. Your work can be as personal or as expansive as you want - and we welcome submissions for this exhibition in all mediums.

For this exhibition, we are asking you to reflect on and re-imagine the world as it could be - whether you think globally, locally or within your own experience.

To begin this year, we want to explore what the future holds or what it could look like if you had the power to shape it.

You can show us a glimpse into your hopes, dreams, or challenges - or maybe you want to address larger social, political, or environmental issues.

From imagined utopias to honest realities, let’s create a world of possibilities with this exhibition.

We welcome submissions of all mediums and sizes. However, due to the nature of our space, we discourage submissions of a significantly delicate nature.

Any 3D or relief work is likely to need moving during our events. Please consider this when submitting your work.

Artists may submit multiple pieces; however, we aim to prioritise offering as many individuals as possible the opportunity to exhibit and therefore, we may not be able to accept multiple submissions from a single artist.

Delivery date

Successful artists will need to deliver their submissions to Left Bank Leeds, Cardigan Road, LS6 1LS, between the 13th–17th January 2025.

Artwork can be delivered in person or posted.

Please note that any work not delivered during this timeframe may not be included in the exhibition.

Collection of artwork

Artwork must be collected during the week commencing 3rd March 2025. Artists are responsible for organising the collection of their pieces during this time.

Important Policies

Art Insurance:

As a charity, Left Bank does not provide specialised art insurance. Artists concerned about the security of their work should arrange their own insurance if needed. For lower-value pieces, insurance is not required, we leave this decision up to the artist.

Insurance can be obtained through CuratorSpace.

Sales and Commission

If your artwork is sold during the exhibition, a 15% commission fee (after VAT) will be applied. Please factor this into your pricing to ensure you receive your desired amount after the fee is deducted.
