The Artist’s Space Ilkley. A working studio space in Ilkley available for creative residencies, making and sharing. This is a new initiative, opening up an artist’s studio in central Ilkley, providing an affordable space for creatives. Ilkley Arts are making available a studio space in the centre of Ilkley and are looking to engage with artists from different disciplines who would benefit from gaining short term access to a working studio. We have worked with three visual artists and a writer to date. 

The studio is in the attice space of The Castle Collective in the The Manor House Courtyard which already provides a home from a range of creative companies and practitioners. Further to this we would encourage applicants to develop links with Art School Ilkley and the regular classes and workshops it provides, to open up channels of communication and conversations with artists working in the surrounding area and The Manor House Museum and Art Gallery. 

Ilkley Arts are a small charity based in Ilkley run by volunteers and has 3 main strands of activity – the annual Ilkley Art Trail, the Ilkley Arts studio that is a venue for exhibitions, workshops and is also home to the Ilkley Art School and the Ilkley Arts Membership Scheme where artists and creatives can come together to share ideas and thoughts about their and other artists’ work.

Our core mission at Ilkley Arts is to promote and celebrate the arts in Ilkley and surrounding areas to enrich the lives of residents and visitors and to support and help the development of artists.

We work with a wide range of organisations to achieve this mission from those whose focus is on developing the younger generation such as Art School Ilkley, The Manor House and Nell Bank Centre.

We are looking to offer the space for a period of three months at a time at an all inclusive cost of £200 per month giving you daily access 8am-10pm.
