We invite environmental artists to showcase their work at “I Am An Arktivist” on November 30th—an event that combines creativity and action to inspire a sustainable future.

Create, Inspire, Change.

Your art can make a difference. We're looking for: 

  • Upcycled artworks that show how waste can become something beautiful.
  • Pieces that can be hung on a wall and are no larger than 80cm on all sides. 
  • Art that carries a message of creativity, sustainability, and cutting waste. 


Who can apply: 

  • Barking & Dagenham artists get priority, but this is open to all London creatives. 
  • Artists of all ages and backgrounds are welcome-whether you're emerging or established. 
  • We may feature young artists (under 24) alongside older artists on dedicated walls.

Submit up to 3 artworks with images, sizes, prices, medium, description, and titles. 

No fee to apply or exhibit. 

45% commission on sales may apply if funding is not secured.

When is the delivery date?
22nd November, 2024.
When do I need to collect my work?
At the end of the exhibition on the 30th November. Collection and delivery can be arranged after from the gallery. Please bear in mind that we hope to turn this exhibition into a travelling exhibition, so it would be beneficial to be flexible.
How much does it cost?
No fee to apply or exhibit.
Are there payments to artists?
A 45% commission on sales may apply if funding is not secured.
Is there a private view / opening?
Yes, from 12 pm - 3:30 pm.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
12 pm - 3:30 pm.
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes, there is a lift.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Social media and newsletters.
Do I need to be present?
No, but we would appreciate having you there. Artists will be expected to speak to an audience about their artwork.
Where will my venue be listed?
Google maps and social media platforms.
How do you decide on proposals?
Art exhibition curator and gallery director will decide.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
We will be in contact to collect the artwork and exhibit it.
