OPEN CALL - CERAMICS - KUNSTHUIS GALLERY ‘Shades of Clay’ Annual Winter Show 2018

OPEN CALL - Kunsthuis Contemporary Gallery gives you the wonderful chance to become a part of its highly popular and successful Winter Show 2018 from 2nd November - 23rd December. We warmly invite functional and/or sculptural ceramic artworks. We are hugely excited to continue promoting the breadth of contemporary ceramics created throughout the UK and Internationally.

Kunsthuis Contemporary Gallery combines its range of International Art with a collection of carefully selected British artists' work. As our gallery evolves we continue to exhibit a relevant, inspirational and contemporary collection of ceramics from all around the world. Fine design, individually and craftsmanship are foremost among the qualities we seek.

Entry Guidelines

All works must be primarily ceramic. Mixed media works will be accepted only if ceramic materials are the primary media. The gallery will make final determinations. Work must have been produced within the last 3 years.

We are seeking high quality images of 6/10 pieces which represent a unique and captivating collection which demonstrates a strong interest in contemporary ceramic discourse. Please keep in mind that the quality of the images you are submitting will play a dominant role in the selections; therefore, send only the best quality both professional and artistic photographs of your work.

We also ask that you write a brief statement about your ceramic practice and why you believe Kunsthuis gallery could successfully represent your work. Images are welcomed in JPG format and the resolution should be 350 dpi.

Shipping

Artists are responsible for shipping their work to and from the gallery and insuring it while in transit. Works may be shipped or hand delivered to us here in Crayke. Works must be shipped in reusable containers and packaging for re-packing and return shipping. Artist must provide a pre-paid return shipping label or check to cover return shipping costs.

Photography and Permissions

Accepted artists agree to allow Kunsthuis to photograph work while on display for educational and publicity purposes. Images of accepted entries will be retained for our archives and may be reproduced and posted on our website and in printed materials.
