Deadline: 16/01/2025

City: Online  |  Region: Merseyside  |  Country: United Kingdom  |  Joshua Norwood

Report this?

Contrast!, Issue 3 is an exhibition and a publication surrounding the theme and concept of contrast- what it means in art and how it is portrayed. We encourage you to take the idea as conceptually or literally as possible, as it is a form of creative research on how contrast as an concept appears in art.

The exhibition will be hosted on our gallery site and promoted on social media. A publication (as Contrast! will be the third Issue!) will be created, printed and sent to participating artists.

We will sell a limited number of these issues through our website store. Please see the shipping section for information on how much you will receive.

Successful Participants:

All successful participants will receive a copy of the publication (or multiple copies [see SHIPPING section below]) sent to their address.

All successful participants will have their submitted work published in our publication and online exhibition on Meta Space Gallery’s website.

Fees
:

There are no submission fees for this opportunity.

Participation Fee
:

If accepted, you must pay £25 (the base fee for up to 3 artworks).

If you have submitted more than 3 artworks and have had more than 3 artworks accepted, you must pay £6.50 for each artwork after the third. [3 extra artworks would require you to pay £19.50 more].

We give you the option to choose how many works you want in the publication after you've been accepted if you would rather show less than we've accepted if you change your mind.

The participation fee helps pay for the printing cost and shipping costs.

We also have to pay for our web servers, hosting and other costs accrued by the gallery.
Interview Fee:

  • If you want an interview in the publication, you will pay per page of the interview used. It costs £6.50 per page, and we will only charge after the interview. You can remove parts to reduce the cost if it uses more pages than you want.

Shipping:

Every successful artist will receive at least one copy. You can receive more copies for free if you pay a higher fee- see here: https://metaspacegallery.com/2024/11/23/fee-levels-and-multiple-copies/

Please get in touch with us if you wish to acquire multiple copies.

Publication Quality
:

The publication is A4, perfect-bound with 200gsm inside and 350gsm cover paper.

The publication will be printed around the end of January and shipped off around the 29th of January to the 2nd of February.

If there are delays in shipping, we will let you know immediately.

This, however, will vary depending on how many artists we represent in the publication.

The more- the later it may be printed due to more editing.

Online Exhibition
:

The exhibition will be held from the 22nd of January to the 6th of February 2025.

The exhibition is held online on our website.
