Northumberland Heath: Now & Then

Celebrating Northumberland Heath's rich heritage, exploring themes of shared history, modernity, intergenerational connection and community resilience.

EVENT WEBSITE

On Saturday 14th October people will come together to explore a community-generated art exhibition, a public art trail transforming local advertising booths, and a series of creative workshops inviting attendees to explore the past, present and future of the area. Northumberland Heath: Now & Then aims to honour its communities' togetherness and resilience, celebrate its heritage, and inspire intergenerational unity.

GALLERY NO.32

Gallery No.32 brings innovative and ambitious artwork to the public realm. Since the forced closure of galleries in 2020 and the reduction of creative opportunity, Gallery No.32 has swapped white walls and closed doors for blue skies and open terrains, presenting artwork outdoors in free, large-scale public exhibitions.

With the aim of expanding the reach of culture through discovery and exploration Gallery No.32 exhibits creativity in unexpected places bringing art to the everyday, whilst building on their mission to create accessible and affordable opportunities for artists. Meg Stuart and Kieran Idle of Gallery No.32 are excited to be working with social artists Chloe Rochefort and Fredrix Vermin to present Northumberland Heath: Now & Then.
