Open call for Redcar inaugural summer exhibition provides an opportunity for a wide range of contemporary artists to raise their voices about social and environmental issues and the implication of these for our lives.

We are excited to make an open call for the inaugural summer exhibition at the recently established Redcar Contemporary Art Gallery. The purpose of the exhibition is to provide a platform for emerging (any age) and established contemporary artists to show their work in a unique gallery space located a few steps from the impressive coastline of the northeast coast of England and the town centre of Redcar. A wide range of art forms are permissible including all forms of visual art, as well as performing art. 

The preview of the summer exhibition will be 30 June (Friday) 6-8pm and it will run till 26 August (Saturday). The online submission deadline is 21 May (Sunday) midnight. Application is free but handling fee £5 per accepted work will be charged . The accepted works should be either personally delivered on 16-17 June or sent to the gallery (see FAQ).

The collection dates are 27 Aug - 3 Sep, 2023 (by prior arrangement).
