The theme for this years exhibition is ‘Seeds of Change’. May embrace many issues personal, environment, life, climate, botanical and nature, healing & hope, growth, political and social. Of course change is also implied within the work itself, within process. We hope you are inspired.

The exhibitions in Water Street Gallery are curated with an emphasis on creativity and originality. Integrity, uniqueness and the qualities of the artist's expression and visual understanding are the prime criteria for our choice of work, as is work of a high artistic standard.

This will be a changing exhibition, so to keep it fresh you may wish to replenish and replace works.  If you are selected we hope you will enjoy exhibiting with us. Please pass this information on to fellow artists who may wish to participate.  

This runs alongside an Open Exhibition ‘Postcard Art”

Exhibition Dates - Sunday 10 November to  Sunday 25 January 2025

Submission Form Deadline - ASAP but by Sunday 8 Oct latest please

Receiving Dates - Friday 11 October to Mon 14 Oct  9.00 - 5.30 if poss. 

Collection Dates - To be arranged - If shipped back via UPS then artists meet the shipping costs incurred.

Preview - Sunday 10 November   2.00 to 4.30 pm.  

Terms and Conditions:

Participants will be asked to pay a small fee of £12 for up to 4 - 6 works. Payment on delivery of works please.

Please note submissions are through CuratorSpace - Please do not bring originals to gallery for submission until/unless requested by gallery.

4 - 6  works should be original and recent.

Please submit  up to 4 - 6 jpeg images high resolution and of professional standard. of the work you intend to submit. Please save on the images sent -  TITLE, YOUR NAME MEDIA, SIZE, SELLING PRICE. The gallery commission is 35%.

Please provide CV / biography, artists statement (up to 100 words) about yourself and the work if relevant together with clear contact details. Text may be edited and made available for exhibition.

We will reply to select works or not within one week, and may ask to see original works for new artists.

If selected the artist must have provided images of work and agree to reproduction, including onto website. 

Works must be available for sale throughout exhibition,  and will be sold off the wall, and replaced with other works.  Due to space considerations it may be that some selected works are kept in reserve.

We have comprehensive T & C which will be sent to new applicants.

INSURANCE:

Work is insured on WSG premises only.

PAYMENT TO ARTIST:

Works sold will be paid by bank transfer within 30 days of close of exhibition

We have an interest free instalment plan for works above £100 which runs over 4 months, altogether.  The artist will be paid on on completion of sale.  

SELECTION PROCESS:

All work must be clearly labeled on both reverse and strung luggage labels  which gallery can attach when hanging with Your Name, Title, Media, and selling price. This will include the  gallery commission of 35%.

If selected the artist MUST PROVIDE HI RES IMAGES  of work and agree to reproduction, including onto website, and agree to editing of text. Please remember to photograph work before glazing!

We reserve the right to exhibit work at our discretion within the gallery.

The safety of works is the responsibility of the exhibitor, but the gallery is ultimately responsible for public safety and we reserve the right to refuse anything we deem unsafe. 

If instructed by the artist we will pass on your contact details to visitors, should they wish to commission work we ask you to agree to pay us commission.

Please note that all submission and collection dates are final. Work cannot be stored longer than indicated. Signing the application form indicates your acceptance of these conditions and agreement to deliver/ collect work on the dates below. All application forms MUST be signed and dated.

We charge 35% on Art sales, this is paid after 30 days of sale - For online sales the delivery cost is shared with artist.

Do I need to provide my own images of the artwork/s?
Yes, If framed and glazed this will need to be before glazing.
