Studios of various sizes available for creatives/artists

FaMAS Art Gallery and Studios now host 36 artists/creatives with extensive exhibition space and an ongoing program of expanding our studios together with a community room for workshops, seminars etc.

Artist-led, 24/7 access, free parking, flood-lit car park, Grade II Listed former cotton mill, two Open Studio events each year, 1.5 miles from the centre of Bolton.

Studio prices vary dependent on size, starting at £115pcm exclusive of electricity. 

There is currently a mix of artists/creatives including a wide range of styles and genres from full-time, part-time, professional and hobbyist artists/creatives.

There is also extensive exhibition space, the opportunity to participate in our bi-annual Open Studio,  a prep room (cutting wood etc), access to a community/workshop room (for an additional small fee) and to become part of a growing community of artists/creatives included.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Anyone providing the nature of their work will not upset other studio holders e.g. we would not want somebody who is using an electronic staple gun ALL day in a studio amongst painters and printmakers.

Studios can be accessed 24/7
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes, there is lift access during office hours i.e. Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
How do you decide on proposals?
Applicants are invited to view the premises and to have an informal chat about the nature of their work.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
You will have a studio with free parking, 24/7 access, extensive exhibition space, the opportunity to participate in our bi-annual Open Studio, a prep room (cutting wood etc), access to a community/workshop room (for an additional small fee) and to become part of a growing community of artists/creatives.
What kind of proposals are you looking for?
At present we a have a very wide range of artists/creatives from painters to educational film makers.
