We are delighted to announce that our popular Print Fair returns on Saturday 15 and Sunday, 16 March 2025. The fair will host around 60 stalls, featuring a wide variety of artists, collectives and galleries in a range of table top stalls and booths. Deadline for applications is Monday 13 January 2025.

Applications are welcomed from emerging and established UK-based artists, textile designers and illustrators working in screen print, etching, monoprint, giclee, risograph, lithograph, collagraph, linocut, letterpress and other print media. 

The Print Fair brings together printmakers from across the UK and provides an opportunity for you to have your work exhibited for sale in front of 4,250 people over one weekend*.

The weekend will also feature family activities and special offers in The Hepworth Wakefield shop and café to ensure a well-attended, vibrant event. 

Please select your preferred stall size on the application form; please note this is not guaranteed, and we will confirm your allocated stall size when we respond to your application. 

We welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are underrepresented within the arts sector.

Up to 5 examples of your work and photos of your stall set up would be helpful.
How much does it cost?
Standard Table: £200

A standard stall is perfect for creatives with a more compact table layout. Offering an ideal space to showcase your designs, you can use display techniques such as tabletop racks, or fixed to table rails.
Includes:
Trestle Table (H760 W755 L1800) and a chair
Tabletop space only – no additional print racks or rails.

Standard Table + Print Rack: £250

Ideal for sellers with clothing, large card display units or large print racks which require an additional floor space next to your table.
Includes:
1 x Trestle Table (H760 W755 L1800) and a chair and space on 1 side of the table for one print rack or rail.

Large stall: £300

Is perfect for printmakers who would like to display their work on both a tabletop display and a temporary white wall space behind the table. Ideal for some larger prints and framed works.
Includes:
1 x Trestle Table (H760 W755 L1800) and a chair
Wall space is 2m wide x 2.4m height

Booth: £400

Our largest stall ideal for printmakers or collectives, offering the most wall space to hang works. The booth is designed as a cross section of a square providing a versatile layout for display.
Includes:
Booth with walls measuring 3m across the back and 1m on each side and 2.4m in height.
1 x Trestle Table (H760 W755 L1800) and a chair
What are the Print Fair opening hours?
Saturday 15 – Sunday 16 March 2025 (10 am - 5 pm both days).
Where is the market taking place? And does the location have disabled access?
The fair will take place in the converted mill space adjacent to the gallery, part of the Tileyard North development. Stalls will be set up the day before the fair opens. The space is fully indoors with access to toilets, WIFI and electricity.

Full details regarding set up and take down will be sent in advance of the event.

The space is fully accessible to anyone with mobility requirements. The space is on the ground floor with full access and toilet facilities. If you have any concerns about your stall and have access requirements, please let the market organisers know.
Will visitors pay to visit for the Fair?
Yes, visitors do pay entry to the fair, the prices are :
In advance: £2.50 fair only / £8.50 fair and exhibitions
On the day: £3.50 fair only / £10 fair and exhibitions
FREE for Members and under 18s
What press and marketing will The Hepworth Wakefield undertake?
Exhibitors will be prominently listed on The Hepworth Wakefield’s website and promoted through a variety of content on the gallery’s sector-leading social media platforms: X (82k followers); Instagram (97.5k followers); Facebook (32k followers), as well as in regular e-newsletters sent to our Members, Patrons and subscribers.
The Hepworth Wakefield has a strong track record of securing media coverage for its fairs and markets, offering a further opportunity to profile participants. Media coverage received for previous fairs included Crafts Council, Elle Decoration, The Guardian, Time Out, Wallpaper* and Yorkshire Post. 
Do I need insurance?
Yes, all stallholders must have Public Liability insurance to the value of £5 million. Successful applicants to our Print Fair will receive a discount code for 10% off the cost of Axisweb Network Associate membership, which includes free PPL insurance up to £5 million. This code will be offered on request to the first 40 successful applicants in need of insurance.
How much time do I have to set up my stall?
Stallholders will have access on Friday 14 March and the morning of Saturday 15 March. Further details will be sent to Stallholders.
How are stallholders selected?
Exhibitors are selected by a panel comprising The Hepworth Wakefield team members with comprehensive experience in curating, exhibiting, promoting, commissioning, and retailing work by artists and makers at all levels of experience. Exhibitors are selected to ensure that the fair presents a range of styles and approaches to printmaking, working at a range of levels and from all professional and educational backgrounds. We encourage applications from independent artists, collectives and galleries.
