isabel Coulton Sculpture
Multi disciplinary, I base all my work around drawing the figure. Life drawing for me is the cornerstone of all my art making, and I allow myself these days, plenty of time for exploration of experimental techniques. I teach life drawing and my main work is in wood/stone carving and working to commission which has taken me from carving the madonna and child in stone through a whole gammet of creations - chainsawn 15 foot trees, bronze house plaques in bas relief - to designing the parapet for a bridge in stainless steel., for Devon County Council.
I am a talented and caring fascilitator for those who are stuck or very new to making art. Through the use of many different materials I can help you to learn challenging techniques in an environment of fun, non-judgemental inquiry, where you learn without realiusing it. I am happy to work one to one or with a group. My teaching practice is in both Provence, France and in Devon UK. Contact me for any inquiries - info@isabelcoulton.com www.isabelcoulton.com

Drawing in Provence
Maison Sylvette | Workshop | 19/05/2025 to 25/05/2025
Maison Sylvette is the home of Sylvette David, who is Picasso's last surviving muse. Isabel is her daughter and as a practising sculptor herself enjoys using their family French home to share her extensive knowledge of drawing and carving. The house is old and a beautiful artistic venue, full of inspiring cameos. This is a truely authentic experience.
