During total isolation, in lockdown, I painted over a 164 artworks up to date. I also took up meditation which allowed my imagination to flow again. It was cathartic and eased the trauma from what was happening in the outside world. Life is returning back to what was before, but with a greater sense of appreciating family and friends, united.
I love working with acrylic paint on canvas. The vibrant colours are amazing and joyful. It was my honour to have a painting in the RA Summer Exhibition 2023. ‘TWINS (Ibeji).’ Sold on preview night for members from the movie and music industry. Since then opportunities have arisen to exhibit my work at home and abroad. I’m learning so much about my style of artwork. I try to paint beautiful images in both portraits and abstract genres. I’m fascinated with the ocean, at the moment - and have many images in vibrant blues. It’s such a joy to lose myself in painting and totally be in the moment.
