A late arrival to the world of Art Textiles. I graduated from De Montfort University in 2003 with a first-class honours degree in Textile Design & Production and spent the following 21 years working in the commercial world of textiles in various guises. My art practice is mixed media, using wool fibres, wool felt, paint, print, stitch and found objects to create one-of-a-kind works of art.

I have an innate need to be creative, I love to surround myself with colour, pattern and texture, my work incorporates a lot of textiles, particularly wool felt and fibres.

Wool fibres and wool felt have been my materials of choice for a number of years but, as we see the world filling up and overflowing with waste fabrics, discarded fashion and furnishings, I have felt drawn to include as much discarded material into my work as possible.

I use a number of techniques to create my art including, needle felting, wet felting, freehand machine embroidery, hand embroidery, mono printing on to fabrics, collage, appliqué and beading. Charity shop finds, worn out or discarded bedding, soft furnishings and clothing are re-engineered and remastered into unique pieces, be it wall art, a wearable piece or something to decorate the home.
