    I have lived and walked in both urban & natural environments from London to Staffordshire and currently near Nottingham. In 2015 I completed an MA in Fine Art, through using my culture of walking, and I’m inspired by ‘edgeland’ landscapes. Drawing on the materiality of landscape, and with techniques such as frottage I consider notions around ‘mapping’ and the ‘reality’ of what we see

    I am a multi-disciplinary artist, with 15 years of experience of socially engaged art / social practices projects. My work is informed by my Ph.D. thesis, activism and personal experience as a mix race person and migrant. Much of my work concentrates on themes of place and belonging, identify and social justice using photography, digital art and installations.

    Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms. Sustainability underpins my practice; resource management and contributing to art communities is very important to me.     I am a Northern Irish artist currently based in Kent Using found objects and recycled materials, I tend to work in response to specific sites, indoors and out. Reclaimed materials often retain the traces or scars of their former use but can be given a new energy charge when redeemed. I sometimes combine these with materials held to have more value or impact, such as stained glass, itself recycled

    My art is about Places, they can be recognisable, detailed representational images but also, looser, abstract impressions, responses informed by connections present and in memory. Many of my paintings depict places of personal significance where I have spent time, often a lot of time. I particularly lo the landscape of Britain. The same small localities I continually returns to.
