Nika Genesis London, United Kingdom
Born in Ukraine and based in London, Nika Genesis creates work using ceramics, plaster, found objects, metal, and photography. A 2025 Fine Art Mixed Media graduate from the University of Westminster, she explores the connections between objects, memory, and space. Her art invites reflection on transformation and materiality.
Nika Genesis is a mixed media artist that daringly explores the intensity of human experience and emotion through an esoteric and conceptual perspective. The work involves elements of ceramic sculpture, textile, woodworking and found objects coming together in medium scale installations. The style is industrial - combining rust, metal and plaster, with a delicate approach, balancing notions of messiness of human nature and the stillness of spiritual experience. Her works always have a sense of familiarity, welcoming and nurturing the viewer. Although quite personal to Genesis herself, they are accessible and down to earth, acting as a mirror for everyone who wants to look.
Genesis seeks everything humane in worldly brutality, destroying the sugar coating and pursuing comfort within what’s left. It is a reimagined rebellion that speaks softly, looks to confront instead of hiding.
