CALL TO ARTISTS ‘Palette x Palate’ – A Food-Inspired Art Exhibition Coinciding with the Waterford Festival of Food Dungarvan, Ireland

The Old Bank, Dungarvan and artist Luana Asiata present a dynamic group exhibition showcasing emerging artists from Ireland and across the world to coincide with the Waterford Festival of Food.

Celebrating the deep connection between food, art, and the land that sustains us.

The exhibition opens from 19 April and will run till 2 June 2025.

‘Palette x Palate’ explores the journey food takes—from the soil to the table, from artistic vision to palette.

This exhibition invites artists to reflect on the universal language of food, capturing its power to nourish, connect, and inspire.

From nostalgic family meals to bold contemporary interpretations of culinary culture, the works on display offer fresh perspectives on how food shapes our lives and identities.

Open Call for Artists

Artists are invited to submit works that explore art, food, and the land—whether through traditional still-life compositions, abstract landscapes, or conceptual explorations of food’s role in culture.

The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to showcase work in the historic Old Bank, Dungarvan, a stunning venue that merges heritage with creativity.

We’re seeking unique, original artwork that celebrates food in all its forms.

This could be anything from a classic still-life painting of fruit to a beautifully composed scene of your kitchen, utensils, or bowls.

Show us photographs capturing the joy of shared meals, drawings of landscapes that nourish us, close-up shots of fresh produce, or depictions of farm animals that connect us to the land.

Whether it's a personal memory, a cultural tradition, or a creative exploration of food’s role in our lives, we invite you to bring your vision to the table.

All artworks are sold in The Old Bank Dungarvan directly to the collector.
