Invitation for Ukrainian and Russian speakers to write a Grief Letter in Ukrainian or Russian - Листи Скорботи.

I am working on a project, "Letters to Forever" which consists of an exhibition and holistic workshops supported by Arts Council England.

This project uses storytelling and visual media to explore grief and loss, gathering personal letters for artistic response.

It fosters community, empathy, and understanding through various media, interactive activities, and discussions.

Its aim is to redefine societal views on grief and loss and build empowering communal connections through collective expression.

In addition to all the letters I am working with, I am looking to feature some letters ( Листи Скорботи) from the Ukrainian and Russian-speaking community.

These will be exhibited in the show in 2025 and in the publication.

Letters may stay anonymous. They can be represented by words or marks.

Writing such a letter is a cathartic way to process personal emotions associated with loss and contribute to the communal story where every grief is different but valid.

It is an opportunity to add your own layer to the project and generate more empathy.

If you would like to write one in English or another language, please do not hesitate to contact me, although my focus is currently on the Ukrainian community experiencing loss due to the war.

Please contact me to request a free pack, stating your mailing address. The pack consists of intructions and all necessary materials to write a letter.

Best wishes.

Natalia
