For the month of January, BobCat Gallery will host an exhibition of original artworks to bring light to the darkest time of the year. Bright, bold and beautiful artwork will help to banish the January blues, alongside a series of panel discussions and creative workshops, with selected artists invited to demo their work live in the gallery as well.

Will this opportunity suit you?

You are welcome to submit paintings and drawings as well as other original works on paper, (e.g. screenprints and cyanotypes), sculpture, glass and ceramics, mixed media works, textiles and limited edition photography.

Reproduction prints, e.g. giclée, digital artworks and open edition photography prints, are not accepted.

Please note:

  • Wall-based works should be ready to hang, either framed or unframed, preferably strung with D- rings. Mirror plates are not accepted.
  • The maximum size for wall-based works is 100cm x 100cm including framing.
  • 3D works can be free standing, however if they require a plinth this will need to be supplied by the artist. If work can be displayed on a table or shelf, please advise.
  • BobCat Gallery is focused on affordable art, and therefore I request that works are priced £2,000 and under.

Terms & Conditions

1. There is a non-refundable participation fee of £25.00 per artist on selection, payable in advance to BobCat Gallery. Once payment has been processed, artists agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. There will be a commission of 25% on all sales; please ensure that your retail price includes this commission. Payment to the Artist shall be made by the Gallery within 30 days of sale(s) being finalised.

3. Where a customer opts to pay in instalments over three months, works will be held in trust by BobCat Gallery until final payment is received and the work delivered to the client. If for any reason a customer defaults on their payments, the work will be returned to the artist.

4. The Artist is responsible for arranging transportation for their artwork(s) to the venue, and collecting unsold artwork(s) from the venue once their display period comes to an end.

Charges for transportation, insurance costs, and risk of loss or damage incurred in the delivery of artwork(s) to and collection from the venue are the responsibility of the Artist.

5. BobCat Gallery shall be responsible for the safekeeping of all consigned artworks while they are in its custody, and will provide full Public and Products Liability insurance as well as coverage in case of theft or damage to artworks.

The Gallery shall provide the artist with all relevant information about its insurance coverage if the Artist requests this information. Each artist is also advised to arrange their own insurance cover commensurate to the value of their work.

6. Works will be exclusively for sale via BobCat Gallery during the exhibition run. Please ensure that any additional online listings are removed during this time.

In the event that a work is accidentally sold elsewhere while on display, the artist is liable for commission to BobCat Gallery.
