A feminist-focused physical Art exhibition in a network of iconic caves in South London (15 mins from London Bridge)

Following a string of very successful art exhibitions this year, we will be celebrating the anniversary of the legendary Jimi Hendrix's performance at the caves in December 1967.

There will be a one-day pop-up physical exhibition where artists can sell their work.

We encourage this through our large network and attendees to the event.

Artists' names will be viewable and contactable at the event, and The Secret Salon will hold only a 20% commission on sales.

We also encourage the licensing of digital works.

There will be a Private View from 2:30 - 4 pm in the caves with hospitality and photographer provided to document the event which will be shared with all participating artists and a film of the projections will be given to all Digital artist participants.

The caves also hosted performances by David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Led Zepellin in the 60's / 70's and this is sure to be a very exciting and unique art event.

This exhibition will be hosted by pro active, post punk artist Andree Adley CSM who is a very colourful character and she will be looking for fresh, new and outstanding work to display in this remarkable venue.

This open call is for the DIGITAL work that will be included in a PROJECTION of art works on to the cave walls or images on LCD SCREEN, whichever we think most suitable at the venue.

Submitted works must relate to the theme of "Electric Ladyland" - however you take this to mean......

This could be the love of being female or the female form.

It could be women's rights, it could be your experience of gender/ gender transitioning, poetry based on this theme, in-depth writings or abstract representations. These are just some ideas in directions you may follow for this exhibition.

Priority will be given to feminist-focused works and underrepresented groups; we have a non-discriminatory policy; however, we do not accept pornographic or offensive material.

Works will be accepted on a rolling basis over the duration of this open call.

You will have more chance of being accepted earlier on before places are taken.

Open to both International and UK-based artists.

Accepted work must be a digital representation however this can be digital art work or a digital photo of a sculpture or painting, poetry, written prose, collage, drawings, multi media, ceramics or textiles. Use your imagination.....

FREE to enter up to three works.

If successful and your work is selected there is a £35 hanging fee towards venue hire, PV and hospitality.

Short films also accepted here by arrangement with the curator.
