CALLOUT FOR AUDIO-BASED ARTISTS!! We are looking for audio based artists or those who are experimenting with this medium, to take part in a 5 day 'residency'. We are asking for a minimum of 5 audio based works from 6 artists to post on our Instagram, website and Tumblr over a weeks' period, resulting in 30 days of purely audio work.

DEADLINE: 02/03/2021

We are looking for this callout to be collaborative and an open conversation, primarily on how we present audio based work. We want to grow and improve our platforms, so that we can exhibit your audio in the best possible way. We are really interested in your thoughts on this and are looking to chat to you on a deeper level about how we can learn and take this into something more substantial and exhibition-based.

We’re asking for you to submit a small statement of context and concept and a link to some of your audio work. If this isn't possible a short statement will be sufficient and we will contact every artist further through contact email. These can be pre existing and old works or something completely new made for this callout. If in the event you have some visuals that are a pivotal part of the works, we can discuss further once through the application process.

We will be in touch for the further audios if you are selected.

Looking at open calls available right now, the majority of things seem very visual orientated to cater to the digital platforms and we want to open it up to other disciplines. We are also interested in the selection process of works for these opens, many not including a statement alongside; how would this differ when there are no visuals, when you can’t judge on personal aesthetic. We are both visual practicing artists so these kinds of bias aren't relevant to us but we are looking to explore this medium as much as you!

In the future we are looking to collaborate with some of you on a responsive audio/visual project that would entail being presented with a visual stimulus, we would then ask you to respond to this in any way you deem necessary, using your practice.
