SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN! We are in search of visual artists to submit their art to be showcased in an online exhibition. Artists of all mediums and from all countries are welcome to apply, including painters, sculptors, photographers, designers, and video artists.
Call for Artists: "Threads of Connection" – An Online Visual Art Exhibition

Exhibition Dates: 1-30 May 2025
We invite artists worldwide to submit work for "Threads of Connection," an online exhibition exploring the invisible and tangible ties that connect us—across cultures, generations, and experiences.
From family bonds and cultural heritage to the exchange of ideas and traditions, this exhibition celebrates the relationships that shape our identities and communities.
How do we navigate personal and collective histories? What stories emerge from shared experiences and moments of togetherness?
Artists working in all visual media—including painting, photography, digital art, mixed media, and sculpture—are encouraged to submit work that reflects the theme in innovative and meaningful ways.
Key Themes to Explore:
- Family, ancestry, and intergenerational narratives
- Cultural traditions and the blending of identities
- Human connection in the digital age
- Museums, archives, and storytelling through history
- The impact of migration, displacement, and belonging
Submission Details:
• Open to all mediums: painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, and mixed media.
• Collaborative works and multi-disciplinary pieces are welcome.
• Works should align with the theme of identity, community, and connections.
How to Submit:
We are keen to learn about you! Please send us the following information, along with a sample of your work and an up-to-date CV:
- Contact information (full name, email, mobile)
- Details of the artworks (title, size, medium, year, price)
- Your artist statement/how your work relates to the theme (No more than 100 words)
- Your biography (No more than 100 words, third-person bio)
- Links (your website, Facebook, Instagram)
The sample of your work has to be up to 4 images. Please note only two artworks from each artist will be exhibited.
Selected Participants:
- Your work will be showcased in an online exhibition.
- The exhibition will be from 1 to 30 May 2025.
- We will publish a professionally produced paperback catalogue of the exhibition in the UK.
- You will receive a PDF copy of the exhibition catalogue.
- If your work sells, Cista Arts will take no commission.
- Your work will be featured in our daily social media posts titled 'Meet the Artist' during the exhibition.
- The exhibition will be prominently displayed on our homepage during the exhibition period and will later be archived on the Past Exhibitions page.
- We will tag you in our social media posts, and your website or social media account will be linked to your artworks on our exhibition page. This ensures ongoing promotion for all participating artists during and after the exhibition.
- You will receive a certificate of participation.
Applying to this exhibition opportunity is free.
If your work is accepted, there will be a £30 fee for one accepted artwork and a £50 fee for two accepted artworks.
