Report this?My art is about Places, they can be recognisable, detailed representational images but also, looser, abstract impressions, responses informed by connections present and in memory. Many of my paintings depict places of personal significance where I have spent time, often a lot of time. I particularly lo the landscape of Britain. The same small localities I continually returns to.

Report this?I am a visual artist living and working from my studio on the Isle of Wight. I paint directly onto glass surfaces with my hands. I smear and throw thick etching ink onto surfaces whilst listening to music as an emotional trigger to create abstract marks and shapes. These are then layered to create multilayers pieces that sit between painting and sculpture.

Report this?I work across and between object making, performance to camera, video, book works, actions and more. Work often hops between media and processes as it develops. Much of the screen based and online work hints at a longing for the physical and for touch. Other themes include cultural ignorance and ways we are positioned by power relationships (as exemplified by language or objects).

Often overlooked in daily exchanges, they quietly carry rich meanings in their materiality, as their patterns and surfaces tell us about the people who made and used them.

Report this?Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten.
