    I am a visual artist, illustrator and urban sketcher living and working in Yorkshire, UK. My work deals primarily with the landscapes and built environments in the North of England: I seek to capture the atmosphere and 'feel' of these places in a way that goes beyond description, capturing their essence and creating emotional resonance with the viewer. My preferred medium is watercolour and ink.

    About me I am a Glasgow based artist working in a range of paint based mediums. My work is a representation of my interactions with, and reflections on, my immediate environment. Through my work I explore and share my reactions to the boundaries between the natural environment and human imposed structures.     I have been painting for approximately 12 years but have only recently taken steps towards building my artwork in to more than just a hobby. This increased focus has seen an evolution in my work, moving towards stronger, bolder and more colourful creations, which I feel reflects the newfound confidence I have in myself as an artist.

    My work revolves around topics on being female within urban and public spaces, how we move through these spaces, and how we as women are affected in a world that has been built for a very a masculine way of life. I use the term psycho-vandalism to explore how catcalling and the potential of unwelcome altercations reshapes our experience of being in, and using public space.
