Deadline: 01/04/2025City: Rochester | Region: Kent | Country: United Kingdom | Vanessa Crew
The Halpern Gallery invites artists to submit work to an exhibition responding to the theme ‘taste’, taking place at The Halpern Pop in Rochester. We welcome all interpretations of the theme: from food inspired, to concepts of good/bad taste, to sensations. All disciplines considered.
This is a free-to-enter open call, and only successful artists will pay a fee of £20 to participate.
The exhibition will be curated by artist and gallery assistant Vanessa Crew, and a limited number of works will be selected for the show.
Please submit up to two pieces digitally for consideration by 1st April.
Selected artists will be notified no later than 5th April.
There will be a 25% commission on sales made at the exhibition.
Taste will be showing:
The Halpern Pop, Rochester
17 April - 5 May 2025
Successful artists will deliver their work: 15th April 12-4 pm & 16th April 10 am - 12 am to The Halpern Pop, Rochester.
Collection Date: 6th May 2025, 1 pm-4 pm from The Halpern Pop, Rochester
The Halpern Gallery is part of Medway arts organisation Nucleus Arts, founded by the Halpern Charitable Foundation.
They own three exhibition venues: The Halpern Gallery in Chatham, The Halpern Pop in Rochester, and MedwayArtBox in Rochester.
Only successful artists will be required to deliver work.
We will be looking for original and interesting responses to the theme, high-quality presentation and cohesion among all selected pieces. The gallery is a small space, so we are limited to what we can include.
