    I am a mainly self taught painter, working in oils, acrylic and gouache. I have worked as a doctor since 2003. I started to paint as a way to relax and escape from the stress of working in critical care during the pandemic. Now I paint for the joy of learning and creating.

    I am based in a light airy studio within Art Space Portsmouth, and have links to Manchester and Scotland. I use 'line systems' to create drawings on paper, walls sculptures and light installations. I'm interested in national and international exhibition opportunities. I sell works to private collectors and undertake commissions within the commercial sector.

    A photo-based artist, through my own history of emigration, from Northern England to Aotearoa, New Zealand (and back and forth..) my work is concerned with notions of home and belonging and how we identify with our surrounding landscapes. I am currently engaged with various long-term social documentary projects, and the digitisation of my late grandfather - M J Burgess - photographic archive.

    I am a travel photographer with over 40 years experience. My work is very real, never contrived or retouched, only using natural light and careful composition. I'm never happier then when in the chaos of a new city searching for new images. I create my own limited edition Giclée prints which are mounted and signed. I continues to travel and add to the collection regularly.

    I’m an artist and socially engaged facilitator living by the coast of far west Cornwall. I have a fascination with Dirt (prefer the word dirt over earth - the connotations intrigue me). My work often involves clay, discarded or overlooked matter embracing a slow process that’s both meditative and deeply intuitive.

    In the last year I have returned to full time education following a decade of being a stay at home parent. Juggling artistic practices with the mundane and often seeing the world through the eyes of young children curious about the little things.     Im a graphic designer by trade, having spent many years working in print, advertising and display. I trained in Graphic Design at the Kacob Kramer School in the late 70s. I set up Jagger Studio to promote my Lino prints. I am based in Guiseley, Leeds and currently creating lino print images.
