My work is like a theatre. I’ve been an actor and I take the theatre into my work . I tell stories ; It can be a personal one , someone else story , or I simply invent a new story. It’s about people and places , dreams and hopes , love and hate , human perceptions , like and dislikes and so on .

I am a north-east England multi media artist who searches for symmetry, form and patterns in my surroundings. I take great pleasure in capturing how I see beauty in the mundane, largely through black and white photography. My creative practice is constantly evolving with the images I take, informing and steering my current work into a new found direction of wire sculpture and installation art.

As a blind artist who has lost her sight slowly over 30 years, I’m interested in how much of seeing is through the eyes compared to perceptions, sensations, memories and intuition. I essentially draw lines to investigate this relationship between visual and other ways of appreciating the world. So, my creations can be drawings, complicated interwoven wire sculptures, or even audio and video.

Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten. When I first took up my brush and dipped it into molten wax and pigment I knew I was hooked!

kane stonestreet is known as a cryer, a lover and a pure spiral. They long to scream for you again. Their work explores how drastically disappointing (their / this / all) gender is. They are a fag dyke. Playful meandering has given way to lubing up and slipping in. stonestreet finds joy in queer sibling-hood, radical softness and the sparks from angle grinders.
