    Growing up as a military ‘brat’ through the troubles in Northern Ireland among other places has had a profound effect on my artistic make up. I have strong identity yet often do not feel a sense of belonging, I have a small studio in North Yorkshire from which I work primarily in oil on canvas

    I am a multi-media conceptual artist working with found photographs, ephemera & words to highlight female stories of resilience. I explore the darker sides of life, blurring the semi-autobiographical with fiction to highlight the precariousness of being human & start conversations about silent happenings, such as infertility, dementia, being a family carer, anxiety & disability.

    Rachel is a multi-disciplinary artist working across the mediums of photographic processes, sound recording and performance. Her practice explores our perceptions of sound within environments and how that can be expressed in a visual context. She explores micro level sounds, the physical and material aspects of the body and environment and resonance within analogue instruments.

    I qualified with a BA in Fine Art in 1982 and after a career in FE and HE I retired early in 2018. I make paintings and sculpture based on real and remembered landscapes presented together to suggest non-linear narratives. In 2004 I took timeout to study an MA in Creative Technology working with 3d modelling and real/virtual environments reflecting the superimposition of memory over place.

    I am a community based artist who's artistic interests derive around nature and the human relationship. Reflections and altered perceptions are of particular interest to me, as the way we see things affects the choices we make in life. I use natural materials in my work and recycle discarded items to evoke a fresh perspective and viewpoint.

    Tina Ramos Ekongo is an Equatorial Guinean painter and illustrator who lives and works in Manchester, England. She was born in 1987 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. She obtained her bachelor degree in Fashion Design in 2010 from Escuela Superior de Disenyo (School of Design) in Valencia, Spain. Previously in 2008 she studied Art and Craft in Escuela de Artes de (School of art) in Zaragoza, Spain.

    Ali Gane is a Yorkshire-based ceramicist who creates work that has a sense of place, a feeling of connection and familiarity. Primarily a hand builder, her work is informed by the shapes, forms, structures and colours of the natural environment. She combines white earthstone and red earthenware clays to create a unique patchwork of strata-like patterned clay that is applied to formers and moulds.
